Full Description

Large room with a sofa bed which has a proper sprung mattress. Great location for city workers. You can walk, cycle, get the northern line from Old Street or hop on one of the many buses from the end of the road. Looking for someone clean, quiet, friendly, considerate and preferably veggie, but not essential at all. I have lived here 19 years and I am very happy. It’s a safe area with great transport connections. We have a tiny dog who is very loving, friendly and is a Therapy Dog at Great Ormond Street Hospital. We also have 2 guinea pigs who like shouting for veg. I am a Nanny and my partner is a Teacher. We are very chilled and friendly. I tiptoe around like a mouse and Karl listens to random noises type music (not disruptively) and eats olives. We haven’t had a lodger for a while but our last lodger Stephen stayed with us for 2 years and 8 months so we are used to sharing. There’s a small, fully equipped kitchen, the bathroom has a shower only and the room is big and comfortable. It’s a lovely little flat in a great area. The Wenlock Arms at the end of our road has an old school, friendly local crowd and an ever growing trendy crowd too. It won North London pub of the year 2017.

Wenlock Road off City Road. Great area. I have never had any problems in 19 years and it’s changed quite a lot for the better over that time. Our local pub is FAB (The Wenlock Arms) and we have our own park in front of the flats. Walking distance to the city and lots of buses from the end of the road. Old Street tube 8-10 mins walk and Angel tube 10/15 mins walk. The canal is also extremely close. You can walk up to Angel one way, and then on to Granary Square and the new Coal Yard Drops at Kings Cross. From there you can go on to Camden. If you go the other way, you can walk to Broadway Market, Victoria Park and Queen Elizabeth Park. We have walked all the way to Greenwich a few times by following the canal and then the Thames.
